 Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Ms.Shobha Karandlaje accorded Warm and Traditional Reception at Agatti

Agatti : The Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers, Ms.SHOBHA KARANDLAJE was accorded a warm and traditional reception at the gateway of Lakshadweep Agatti. Shri K.Buzar Jamhar, Block Development Officer, Agatti, received the Hon’ble Minister by draping shawl and presented a bouquet on her arrival at Agatti on June 28, 2023, and Hon’ble Union Minister was led to the arrival launch with traditional folk art Parichakali and she was given a guard of honor there.

            After having a welcome drink at the airport launch, the Hon’ble Minister visited various places like the BSNL Cable Landing Station, the government’s specialty hospital, the desalination plant, the agricultural gardens of local farmers, and the gardens managed by women’s self-help groups.  After the inspection visit, the Hon’ble Union Minister had a review meeting on the developmental activities of Lakshadweep with senior officers of the Lakshadweep Administration. ShriArjun Mohan, IAS District Collector, Shri Sameer Sharma, IPS SP of Police, and Dr. Giri Sankar, R,, IAS ADM, attended the meeting and ShriArjun Mohan, IAS Collector, welcomed the honorable minister and briefed him about the developments attained in Lakshadweep with the help of a powerpoint.

   In the afternoon of the same day, the Hon’ble Union Minister spent an hour interacting with fishermen, farmers, and Beneficiaries of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Animal Husbandry and hearing their feelings and problems. Honourable Minister Ms. SHOBHA KARANDLAJE left Agatti after enjoying a lagoon ride in the morning of June -29, 2023.
